100 Ton Tyre Flips – Standing Strong Against Abuse for the Reeva Steenkamp Foundation

Liesl successfully completed yet another challenge on 3 and 4 December 2016 at the V&A Waterfront in Cape Town, South Africa where she flipped a total of 100 tons using a 75kg tyre.

Liesl did this challenge to create awareness around the Reeva Steenkamp Foundation which is all about being against abuse of women and children. She has been an activist against abuse since 2012 speaking at schools across South Africa about Bullying, a word she dislikes at it belittles ABUSE! Motivating the youth to face their challenges instead of allowing their anger and frustrations to cause harm to others and themselves and not allowing your circumstances or past to determine who you are as a person, is her main message to the world.

The event took place in the week of 16 Days of Activism for NO violence against Women and Children which is an international awareness campaign. It takes place every year from 25 November till 10 December.

The event was attended by both Reeva’s father and mother, Barry and June Steenkamp.
